Arizona PRN has been selected by an Eloy, AZ correctional facility to screen and recruit a talented Mental Health Counselor / LCSW for a full time position with an immediate start date. Arizona PRN offers personal career support, health insurance and very competitive pay ($23-$30/hr DOE). This position could be part time, full time or temp to perm. Current Arizona License is mandatory.
As a Correctional Facility Mental Health Counselor, you'll:
Become an integral member of a treatment team in a mental health unit at a correctional institution.
Provide counseling, case management, development and implementation of treatment plan services in conjunction with the unit licensed psychologist/psychiatrist to adult offenders with psychiatric, emotional, cognitive, personality and/or behavioral disorders.
Perform other related duties as needed.

Job Requirements:

Licensed Professional Counselor ( LPC ), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Arizona.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Couselor/Social Worker in a hospital or related medical facility. Newly licensed candidates may be considered. Correctional experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree with major study in a social or behavioral science from an accredited college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
One year of mental health, criminal justice or social service experience which shall include six months experience providing mental health treatment to groups and/or individuals.
