+ Adheres to the policies, procedures and accreditation standards as prescribed by IHSC\.
+ Provides direct care to patients in a residential setting\.
+ Works within Scope of Practice and performs functions outlined in accordance with their privileges\.

+ Makes sure all precautions are being carried out so that the patients, as well as the dental staff, are receiving the smallest amount of radiation as possible\. Maintains use of dosimeter badge in accordance with vendor recommendations while on duty\.
+ Responsible for documenting all x\-rays performed by the dental assistant\.
+ Refers patients with conditions/treatments which are beyond the scope of the on\-site primary care services to an appropriate off\-site dental facility for care or refers for consultation to dental, surgical or other adjunct services confirmation of diagnosis and treatment procedures\.
+ Prescribes and/or dispenses required appropriate medication to patients\.
+ Seeks advice and consultation as required\.
+ Provides professional dental supervision to the assigned staff\.
+ Directs and participates in preventive dental health programs\.
+ Serve as a resource advisor to IHSC staff on dental health\.
+ Assures compliance with the Privacy Act and informed consent requirements in all activities\.
+ Provides dental radiological services\.
+ Will comply with local, state, federal laws, rules and regulations and ICE policy and directives\.
+ Must perform assigned duties in a fast paced, fluid environment\. Adaptability and flexibility are required\.
+ Must pass initial Security Investigation by ICE prior to first day on duty and maintain clearance for the duration of time on the contract\.
+ Ability to communicate proficiently in English in order to develop rapport with detainees, coworkers and administration\.
+ May be required to provide on\-call coverage after regular work hours and may need to return to the facility to provide care\.
+ Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned\.
+ Graduate from a Doctor of Dental Surgery \(DDS\) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry \(DMD\) program accredited by American Dental Association, Commission on Dental Accreditation located in a State, the District of Columbia, or a U\.S\. territory\.
+ Possess a Doctor of Doctor of Dental Surgery \(DDS\) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry \(DMD\), or equivalent degree, from a foreign dental school that provided education and knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the US\. In addition to the above, the applicant must have two years of recent licensed work, experience in the United States as a practicing dentist and hold and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the state in which the position is located\. Any changes to license must be reported to employer immediately\.
+ Board Certification eligible in General Dentistry or specialty with completion of certification within 18 months of hiring\. Any candidate not board certified at the time of hiring must be presented to the IHSC Medical Director for concurrence\.
+ Credentialed, privileged, and possess a current, permanent, full and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in state where practicing\. Any changes to license must be reported to employer immediately\.
+ Must have a minimum of 2 years post\-graduation experience \(including residency\); oral surgery experience mandatory\.
+ Ability to work in a multi\-cultural and multi\-language environment and able to utilize interpretation services to complete assigned duties if not fluent in a language the resident understands\.
+ This position requires the candidate to practice independently according to the state in which they are licensed\.
+ Broad functions of dentistry: diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and emergency care; application of multiple distinct skills, knowledge and abilities in the care of one or more patients\.
+ Must be meet requirements to provide appropriate anesthesia to children according to current best practice\.
+ Working knowledge of regulations on the confidentiality of medical records \(HIPAA\)\.
+ Working proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and in dental software programs\.
+ Must adhere to requirements for safety, infection control, quality assurance, maintenance of records of patients seen, statistical information gathering, etc\.
+ Must pass all facility competency testing initially, annually, and as needed\.
+ Must pass initial Security Investigation prior to first day on duty and maintain clearance for the duration of time on the contract\.
+ Ability and proficiency to properly use equipment, materials and supplies in simple diagnostic and treatment procedures\.
+ Ability and proficiency to communicate proficiently in English in order to develop rapport with patients, coworkers and administration\.
+ Continuous BLS certification required\.
+ May be expected to respond, initiate and oversee medical emergencies\.
+ Expected to demonstrate clinical competencies during orientation, annually and as needed to meet the requirements of the mission\.
+ Required to walk unaided at a normal pace for up to 10 minutes and maintain balance\.
+ Required to respond to any medical emergency within 4 minutes, where a fast walk or jog may be necessary to provide assistance\.
+ Required to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling\.
+ Must have the ability to assist sick, injured or aging residents or staff exiting the building during an emergency \(may require lifting, dragging, wheeling or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self\)\.
+ Must be able to see, hear and smell with or without the use of aides if necessary \(exceptions on a case by case basis\)\.
+ Must easily alternate between kneeling and standing\.
+ Must be able to lift, push, or carry 30 pounds\.
+ Must perform the duties in a stressful and often austere environment without physical limitations\.
+ Must be capable of standing on hard surfaces \(cement floors\) for long periods of time\.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
